My Approach
Real change happens through building sustainable habits, not with quick fixes. Habits can be difficult to form, so the focus is on small, easy changes. My goal is to help you implement changes without feeling overwhelmed. I understand that life is busy, so I help you create a plan that works with your lifestyle and preferences.

In between coaching sessions, I provide support and feedback through accountability check-ins. The essence of coaching is communication, whether you need a cheerleader or a little bit of tough love.

Knowledge is power. I keep current with evidence-based practices so that the information I provide is accurate and helpful. I don’t just focus on what you need to do - I help you understand why you’re doing it, how to make it work for you, and what it takes to create lasting change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is coaching the same at therapy?
No. Coaching focuses on the present and future, wheras therapy focuses on past experiences and emotional healing. Coaching can be complimentary to therapy, helping you to implement changes into your daily life. Coaching provides a safe space to explore thoughts, habits, challenges, and patterns in your life. Together we work to get to the essence of your goals, framed in the context of your life.
How does coaching work?
Coaching helps you to identify and clarify your goals, develop a plan that is realistic and achievable, and provides accountability and follow through. Momentum coaching begins with a complimentary initial consultation, to ensure we are a good fit for each other. Our first session is a longer session to review your goals, challenges, past experiences, and lifestyle. During this first session we create a coaching plan. Each subsequent session tackles one facet of your goal, going in-depth to create small habit changes and challenging you to implement them. Between sessions I follow up to see how you are doing and provide accountability.
How do you offer mental health coaching?
Coaching is a tool to develop, practice, and implement behaviors to help you adapt and overcome challenges in daily life. Although I have a psychology background, I am NOT qualified to diagnose or medically treat these conditions. I DO understand the challenges that come with neurodivergent, mood, and behavioral differences. Coaching provides methods and support to address some of these challenges, from engaging with others, building empathy, understanding social cues, or channeling intrusive thoughts (to name a few).
Can you just give me a meal and workout plan, and just tell me what to do?
I wish it was this simple. Meal and workout plans are so accessable, yet very difficult to actually adhere to. I work with you to make small, gradual changes that add up to sustainable lifestyle habits. Drastic changes are overwhelming and lead to failure, frustration, and feelings of shame. Coaching helps you break that cycle and reach your long term goals.
